About the Drivers

Claire and Jenny are new friends who share a common thread - the passion to help. Together they will embark on Jenny's sixth Shelter Partners trip and Claire's first trip in an effort to save more lives.

Jenny Miller is a lawyer by day and a transporter by weekend. She grew up in Shelby County with a love of animals that has never wavered. She became inspired to join the board of directors of Shelby Humane Society after the passing of her dog, Indy Puppy, in July 2008. She has served as the President of the Board since January, 2010. Indy Puppy joined Jenny's family after being abandoned to a local rescue group in Indianapolis, Indiana where she was living during law school. Indy had such a love of life that Jenny did not want him to be forgotten. Each trip to New Hampshire is in memory and in honor of Indy Puppy. This is Jenny's sixth Shelter Partners trip since 2009. Claire Woodall is a law student at the University of Virginia and is actively involved in pro bono work. Although she only has one playful cat right now, she can't wait to adopt a dog (or three) when she gets a "real" job. She is doing the Shelter Partners trip in honor of her two family dogs - Cookie and Cassie. Cookie, 14 yrs old, is a three-legged wonder dog who has brought tremendous joy to her entire family's hearts. Cassie, 13 yrs old, is a big ball of fluff and remains silly in her old age. Both dogs were shelter rescues.
